Szent György nap - St. George Day

This Saturday I went to sell my felted crafts at a fair organized by the Óbuda Waldorf School every year. 

It was the first time that I went  there as a seller, although it is an event we have not missed in the last years. 

A place where I can meet old friends, or friends I rarely met during the year,

Now I made some special card from the fabric I used for the nuno felted phone cases and it served as business card.

My nature inspired felted landscaped were popular among the kids. 

Although only one happy girl went home with this  felted mushroom, I collected so many congratulations which will last for long time.

Évek óta részt veszünk ezen a vásáron. 

Ekkor már általában már meleg van, sokszor nagyon meleg, ahogy az Óbudai Főtér macskaköveiről és házfalairól visszaverődik a fény és meleg.

 Most is így volt, bár a hűsítő szél a kitett ernyőket megpróbálta felkapdosni, a portékákat arrébb fújni.

A pici fiaimmal évekig laktunk Csillaghegyen és Óbudán, szeretek visszajárni ide.

Számomra ez a vásár a találkozásokról szól. 

Összefutni azokkal, akikkel évközben sokszor csak a virtuális térben látjuk egymást, éslehet hogy ott sem.

Első alkalom volt, hogy vásárosként vettem részt és egyidőre valósznűleg az utolsó is.

 Nem mintha nem lett volna jó ott lenni, csak elutazunk ősszel. 

Lehet hogy Máltán is fogok vásározni?

Fotóm erről a vásárról nincs, akik esetleg a névjegykártyámról találnak ide, biztos felismerik a természet ihlette 3 diemnziós nemezelt tájképeim és a névjegy anyagához hasonló színes nunonemez szemüveg és telefon tartókat.

Tavaszi szél vizet áraszt, virágom, virágom....
A nemez nárciszok saját ötlet alapján készültek, szeretem a térbeliségüket.
Ez a ráncolós technika nagyon hasonlít a japán shiborinak nevezett festéshez, ami közel áll a batikoláshoz.

I picked some photos from the last year to celebrate the spring which is undoubtedly is here. 

The air is warm, fulfilled with smells and with the songs of birds.

The first two flowers was made by a special technics,  invented by me, but later I realized that this is similar to a way of dying, called Shibori.

When wool is combined with other fabrics, usually with silk, you get a new material, the nunofelt. The hairs of the wool can go through the tiny holes of the silk and than felt together.

There are three basic type of the nuno felts:

A: the whole area of the silk is covered by wool. In this case you got a strong, warm material. We made this one.

B: you use the silk as the main material and you add the wool as the decorative motif.

C: you add the silk as a decorative patch, a small design. In this case you use only a few amount of silk on the wool layers.

This large, warm nuno felted scarf was felted together with a bunch of mummies whose job was to find out a perfect gift for their children's kindergarten teachers. 

The mummies chose the colors and the design.

I dyed the wool and than worked four mornings for felting the shawl.

I love these occasions, mothers are chatting, there is coffee and tea with some cookies, and the toddlers are playing around us.

Memory from Alghero, Sardinia - Nemezkép macskákkal, avagy emlék Algheroból

Once upon a time we had two lively boys and we were expecting a third one, although we do not know he or she will be. We traveled to celebrate in a beautiful island being together in four before the baby is coming. 

Alghero - a sard town on the northwest Sardinia is one of our favorite place. Walking on the streets, choosing the right Gelato and talking and making photos were our favorite things. 

In the city of Alghero the boys found this picture with a lighthouse and they adored the cats doing different things on the picture.

Hol volt, hol nem volt, volt két kisfiú, akikkel egyszer Szardínia szigetére utaztunk. Kirándultunk, fürödtünk, olasz fagylaltot nyalogattunk, fotóztunk, nyaraltunk.

Alghero belvárosában találták a fiúk ezt a fotót és lelkesen nézegették a horgászól, hajózó és ejtőernyőző macska csapatot.

And than I promised them once felting a picture based on the painting. A felted picture where there will be small pockets for the felted cats.

 However the cats are still missing and their places were occupied by different gnomes, elves, pebbles and small treasures. 

Elhatároztam, hogy ha egy kis szabadidőhöz jutok, nemezben is megjelenítem ezt a képet, és pici nemez cicákat készítek a nemez zsebekbe.

A kép elkészült, de a zsebek helyét manók, törpék, kavicsok és különféle kincsek töltötték meg.

The finished picture is in use by our daughter who is already 5 years old.
